Have you heard of Prancercize? It’s THE hottest fitness craze. Prancercize entails, well, prancing like a horse. It’s touted as an effective way to burn calories, have fun, and stay in shape. Check out this video of the inventor, Joanna Rohrback, demonstrating Prancercize:
It seems so intuitive – prancing around for exercise – and so easy. It got me thinking that there’s probably a lot of things we do as moms that could become the latest fitness craze.
Here are my suggestions of Prancercize for Moms:
Legocize – This works your lower body as you dodge scattered Lego pieces on the floor in hopes of not stepping on any.
Pincercize – This works your fine-motor skills. You exercise your pincer grasp by picking up crumbs, dirt, and those teeny, tiny Lego pieces off the floor.
Laundrycize – Strengthen your whole body and become mentally tough as you scoop, sort, fold, fluff, and balance laundry. Day after day after day.
Bathercize – A whole body workout induced by bending, squatting, and standing by the tub as you try and wash your child’s hair.
Floppercize – Akin to the corpse pose in yoga, Floppercize allows you to flop on the couch and just be. Floppercize must be enjoyed sans children or else Floppercize provokes jumping, poking, and endless questions while in the flopped position.
Have you Prancercized? What type of mom-tested and mom-approved exercise would you add to my list?
