Sydney and I were at the library. I started giggling to myself when I realized how BAD I am. Often she pulls out a book from the shelf and tells me she wants it. Of course, she takes about a half-second before she moves on and pulls out another book that she must have.
Meanwhile, I’m surreptitiously opening every book to check out how many words are on each page. If there are too many, then back it goes on the shelf!
She hasn’t caught on yet. I wonder if I’m the only mom who does this? I want to believe no, but then again I’m not sure anyone else will ‘fess up!
Katie says
Absolutely, I do this! Too many words before a certain age and their interest in the book will not last to the end.
Nicole says
I do it too!
Or skip the second half of the paragraph on every page š
