Countdown to the End of School

Can he make it?? Stay tuned!

Our last day of school is Thursday. And it’s a half day, too! That means we’ve got two and a half days left, folks.

Two and a half.

Riding in the car with my 4th grader this weekend, he started reminiscing about his school days.

“Mom, remember my first 4 years of school?”

Uh, yes?

“Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade.”

Uh, yes?

“Well, remember how I went to the principal’s office each of those years?”

“Why, yes, son. I do!”

“I  haven’t been AT ALL in 4th grade!”

I giggled.

“YET!” he finished.

Fingers crossed ’til Thursday, people!

Fingers crossed!

Are your kids done with school?

What a stinker! I think I would tell him how excited I would be if this year was a first for no visits to the principals office. It would show how much he has matured (yeah, right) in 4th grade! It might even be worth a visit to the DQ to get it done.

A month?! Well, you must go back in August and we won’t go back until September. Keep focused on the lack of momwork, I mean, homework, k? That’s one positive of summer!
