We were in the front yard a few days ago drawing on our driveway with sidewalk chalk. Sometimes the kids ask me to draw things for them, such as Elmo or flowers.
Sydney asked me to draw a puppy. So I did. I’m no artist so it wasn’t much to look at, but it was definitely a puppy.
Then I asked her, “What would you like me to draw next?”
Her answer: “Penis”
“What!?”
“Penis,” she repeated very seriously.
Will started laughing hysterically. I giggled, too. I tried to giggle surreptitiously so she didn’t feel bad. I mean, a penis is a normal body part, right, and she’s probably just curious.
But it would be funny, not to mention inappropriate, for me to draw a big penis in my driveway!
