I normally don’t chide my husband for his bad dadness. Lord knows I have enough stories of my own bad momness to share! But this story from last week deserves a shout-out.
When I left for work, I asked my husband to do 2 things:
1) turn the crock pot on low
2) pack Will a snack.
Will didn’t need lunch, because he was buying his lunch that day. But they eat a snack from home everyday at 12:50 pm.
About an hour after I had left for work I got a panicked phone call from my husband.
“Why does Will need a snack?” he asked.
“Because they always eat a snack.”
“Since when?” he inquired incredulously.
“September 8, 2009.”
I will give him credit for calling me to double check. He could have sent Will to school sans snack (and Will would have been fine, I’m sure!)
But really? He didn’t realize we’d been sending a snack since September? Men!
