I have nothing to say.
Seriously.
Well, okay, so I’m writing down that I have nothing to say. So that’s saying something.
But 2 weeks after returning from Haiti, I’m struggling to find my blog groove again. Maybe it’s because I saw people in Haiti without shoes. Or lunch. Thus, I’m finding that making fun of myself for being a bad mom sort of pales in comparison, you know? First world problems, for sure.
I was reading Ladies’ Home Journal last night and saw that they had sent some Mommy bloggers and a Real Housewife to deliver Crocs in Haiti. I can’t tell you how happy this made me! When I was in Haiti, I wore my Crocs almost every day. They were perfect for Haiti – light-weight, comfortable, waterproof, and supportive. I visited an orphanage in Haiti one day for girls ages 3-8-years-old and my friend and I asked if they needed anything. The answer? Crocs! That’s because the girls can easily put them on themselves, the Crocs don’t fall off, can be worn in the shower, are durable, and can be passed down from girl to girl, etc.
Right now if you go to Ladies’ Home Journal on Facebook, you can help donate a pair of Crocs to a child in Haiti. Make sure you’re on the Give & Win tab, then click to “like” their page and Crocs Cares (their charity) will donate a pair of shoes. If you’re into the Real Housewives show, there’s a chance you could win lunch with one of them.
But really I just want all those cute kids I saw in Haiti to have some Crocs!
Update: Nothing like Tweeting this post to Ladies’ Home Journal and getting a reply! Too cool:
