Last week Sydney and I enjoyed a performance by the children’s musical group “Two of a Kind”. One of their songs was called “Girls who Rock the World”, about 4 young women who did amazing acts, such as the first woman to speak in front of the U.S. congress.
Later Sydney and I were talking about the song and trying to sing it again. The song had mentioned the girls by name, but I was having a hard time remembering them. But Sydney wanted names.
Suddenly, I remembered one.
“Marie Claire!” I exclaimed.
Wait, that wasn’t right.
Ooops, I meant Madame Curie, not Marie Claire! Great, now Sydney would be singing about the virtues of a fashion magazine, rather than a scientific pioneer.
(Although maybe Marie Claire is a real person who rocked the fashion world?! My apologies to Marie if that’s true!)
