Our little town always has a Memorial Day parade. This parade is one of three we have each year. Besides the Memorial Day parade, there’s the local fair parade in September and the Holiday parade in December.
Will, 7, says he’s not going to the parade tomorrow. Why? Because this parade, the most poignant parade we have–filled with veterans and boy scouts–doesn’t include anyone throwing candy.
Nice. My 7-year-old isn’t interested in freedom, he’s interested in candy!
I shared how Memorial Day is to thank those who fought, served, and sometimes died for our country.
I’m trying!
