From my family to yours, we wish you a meowy happy Easter!
Even our cat:
Wondering why we took our cat to see the Easter Bunny?
Last year our local pet store offered it as a fundraiser for a greyhound rescue organization. We took our cat to see the Easter Bunny, got this fabulous picture, and the greyhound rescue organization received our $15 donation to help the greyhounds. Win-win!
But the best part of the experience was watching the photographer’s assistant wave toys around behind the camera, calling out “Here kitty, kitty!” and trying to get our cat to look at the camera.
You see, our cat CAN’T see. He’s blind.
So this poor photographer’s assistant was waving around toys like a mad woman for about 20 seconds while I wondered, “How do I tell her? Geesh, this is awkward.”
“He’s blind,” I finally blurted out.
“Oh.”
Then we all had a good laugh.
And, the greyhounds got rescued, our cat met the Easter Bunny, and the kids loved the experience and the picture they can treasure forever.
Have a meowy happy Easter, indeed!

Oh meow fun! Yay to the greyhounds being rescued! And meeting EB! And having a photo to treasure for years to come!
We have a Santa photo that we put out every year of our dog Oscar (he passed away 4 years ago) with Santa. Santa has a funny square tummy (sofa cushion?) and Oscar is confused at the bright lights. Classic.

I love this idea so much! My cats are both rescues, and I volunteered with a local animal welfare organization for a couple of years before getting pregnant and couldn’t do litter box duty anymore.
