We took the kids to the see the Blue Angels this weekend at Thunder Over Michigan.
Frankly, they were more interested in their slushies than the Blue Angels! It was about 1,000 degrees so I can’t really blame them.
When it was over I found myself holding Sydney’s hand as we walked back to our car. In my effort to inspire my daughter to be all that she can be, I told her, “You know you can be a fighter pilot when you grow up.”
She sighed dramatically, then said, “Mom, I don’t want to be a fighter pilot when I grow up. I’m going to be a rock star, remember?”
Oh, yeah. I forgot!
P.S. Dear Sydney, You be that rock star. Go for it!
Love, Mom
