How to Celebrate January All Month Long

January 2, 2022 By Katy 4 Comments

After the excitement of ringing in the New Year, many of us are faced with the January blues. The festive feel of the holiday season is gone and the winter days can be gloomy.

However, there are tons of days in January that offer something to celebrate. Whether it’s enjoying food, honoring animals, or just being silly, here are six unique and fun days to commemorate as you keep the party going long into the new year!

How To Celebrate January All Month Long

January 5 National Whipped Cream Day

So when I was looking through the national days calendar I had a choice of what I could celebrate on January 5. It was either Keto or whipped cream.

If you know me at all, then you are not surprised to see that I chose whipped cream. Now, where is my can of Reddi Whip to squirt directly into my mouth…

January 12 Kiss a Ginger Day

Both of my kids have red hair. While they have not been teased too badly due to their gorgeous hue growing up, I’ve heard it can be relentless if you are a ginger in the UK. Boo! So this day was created to show affection to our favorite redheads.

Trust me. They both have red hair. I was just too lazy to find a better picture that displayed their gingerness!

January 13 National Rubber Ducky Day

We celebrate the rubber ducky on January 13 after the date appeared circled on a calendar in a 1973 episode of Sesame Street. Spend the day counting, collecting, or just taking a bath (of course!) with your rubber ducky.

I’ll be singing “Rubber Ducky, you’re the one” in my tub tonight.

January 21 Squirrel Appreciation Day

Go nuts on this day and learn something new about squirrels or leave out some treats to help them get through the winter.

January 24 National Peanut Butter Day

I plan on celebrating by eating Reese’s Peanut Butter cups.

January 27 National Chocolate Cake Day

I mean, it would be disrespectful NOT to celebrate this day.

Plus, I don’t want Chocolate Cake Day to feel bad since I just celebrated Peanut Butter Day by chowing on Reese’s. Kindness matters.

There you have it. Six days to celebrate long into the coldest month of the year. Whatever way you choose to keep the party going in January, I hope you have a sweet month!

When my kids were small, we had 2 January birthday parties to jazz up our January. These are great ideas!

There is nothing like a couple birthdays to bring happiness to an otherwise bleak month! Thanks for stopping by.
