Those aren’t Happy Meals, but it was a happy meal. |
My loyal readers might remember that I have a history with the McDonald’s drive-thru. I’m here to report that this history continues to build!
Friday night the four of us were in line. Ordering went smoothly. Paying took no time at all.
But then we were stuck behind someone whose order seemed to take FOREVER to appear.
Chad got angry.
Chad fidgeted.
Chad almost cursed.
At that moment I jumped in to seize hold of this teachable moment.
“Kids, we have a choice here. We can let it go, relax, and realize that we will get our food soon…or we can freak out.”
I thought the choice was obvious.
Will spoke up. “FREAK OUT!” he said vehemently.
Sigh.
