“How’s your blog? I haven’t seen anything lately. Are you still doing it?” my stylist asked me while I was getting a trim.
“Uh,” I stammered unintelligibly. “Yes, I’m still doing it.” Then my heart curled up and died a little bit.
Yes. I’m definitely still doing my blog.
However, once I got over the initial SHOCK that not everyone lives, breaths or circulates their very being around every word that I write, I realized something. Folks are busy! And while you may subscribe to my blog or follow my social media channels, it is still impossible to catch all of my Experienced Bad Mom-ness.
Unless you are a stalker. Don’t be a stalker.
Thus, let me share what I’ve been doing the past month. Enjoy these humorous and heart-warming (hey, it’s my blog and I can say whatever I want) Facebook status updates, Instagram posts, tweets, and pins below.
What I Did on Facebook
I shared a few fantastic things that my kids said on my Experienced Bad Mom page. These made me feel 1) old and 2) like a bad mom. I guess that makes me an old bad mom?
8yo: When you were in kindergarten or First Grade did you go to school in a one room schoolhouse? Me:

Me: {cooking dinner}12yo: I want a lot of rice. Wait. It’s not that long grain crap is it? Me: No {sigh}12yo: YES! SWEET VICTORY!

I also made myself and the people at the bank laugh:
I stopped at the bank to get some singles so I can pay my kids their allowance for a while. But I told the teller I was getting ready for a Girls Night Out. 😉

What I Did on Instagram
Instagram may be where you can see my sweetest side. Snark and sarcasm usually do not translate into photos, at least for me anyway!
We said goodbye to summer in our house and hello to hockey season:
Hockey time! So proud of her determination and desire to play! #hockey A photo posted by Experienced Bad Mom (@experiencedbadmom) on
What I Did on Twitter
The most fun I had on Twitter in September was watching the Miss America Pageant. The pageant was cheesy in a good way, starting with the opening dance number during the Parade of States:
Currently waiting for a girl to whip and nae nae in this Parade of States. #MissAmerica

I couldn’t resist sharing this thought when the swimsuit competition rolled around:
Possible future swimsuit portion theme songs: Baby got back or I like Big Butts and I cannot lie. #MissAmerica — Experienced Bad Mom (@ExperBadMom) September 14, 2015
What I Did on Pinterest
I pin my latest blog posts to the Experienced Bad Mom board the day a post goes live. And then I pin it some more! For me, Pinterest is great for allowing folks to find posts no matter when I wrote them. For instance, September was a strong month for clicks and repins of a pin from LAST year. People are already getting in the spirit of Halloween (and probably stressing about that Elsa costume!):
There you have it. I looked back in humor over the month of September. Don’t forget you can always subscribe to my social media channels or my blog via email where you will get a handy-dandy message whenever a new post goes live. Check out the buttons and subscribe box in the sidebar to the right.
What is one thing you will always remember about this September? Do tell!

Oh you make me laugh and smile and sometimes tear up. Bless ya, Katy. Great post.
You’ve taught me a lot with your Twitter finesse. And I just loved your daughter’s “off to hockey” shot on Instagram. Keep ’em coming.

Thank you, Kelly! You know, sometimes I feel like I’m talking to the air when I’m on Twitter. It’s always much more fun when people answer back and play along (ala White Spot!).

Haha! No thank you on the stalkers bit! I have a few of those, mainly over on G+! I think I catch your social media posts more than your actual posts (sorry about that) and you always make me laugh!

You know what really sucks? The fact that Facebook doesn’t SHOW me all the awesome statuses of my favorite pages! Sigh…

And btw- I want to be your daughter when I grow up. #GIRLSROCK
