Win Nursing a Grudge! Enter the Maternal Instincts Mystery Giveaway!

March 10, 2014 By Katy 11 Comments

I love to read. Now that my kids are a little older, I actually have *time* to read! And not Goodnight, Moon but real honest-to-goodness books without pictures. My favorite genre is mysteries, particularly cozy or humorous mysteries. These type of mysteries are fun and relatable!

The Maternal Instincts Mystery Series

Enter the Maternal Instincts Mystery series by Diana Orgain. The best-selling series centers around new mom Kate Connolly, who juggles sleuthing with breastfeeding. Kate is a mother who could be in your playgroup. She just happens to stumble upon dead bodies! I’ve been a fan since Book 1, Bundle of Trouble, and recently finished Book 4, Nursing a Grudge. Here’s my quick review:

Kate Connolly has a 4-month-old baby at home, but that doesn’t slow her down from pursuing her Private Investigator license. In Nursing a Grudge, Kate reconnects with an old friend whose boyfriend was pushed off a cliff to his death. She investigates the murder at her friend’s request, diving into clues surrounding her friend’s work as a prominent restaurant critic in San Francisco. When she’s not investigating, she’s rushing home to spend time with her baby. Kate is a protagonist to root for and is surrounded by an entertaining supporting cast: her Mom, a helpful husband, the quirky young babysitter Kenny, and her curmudgeonly PI mentor. It’s fun to root for new mom Kate and go along for the entertaining ride as she solves another mystery.

Nursing a Grudge Giveaway

I reached out to Diana Orgain via Twitter to thank her for the good read. And she replied! (Goodness, I love Twitter). Diana offered to provide autographed copies of Nursing a Grudge for THREE lucky Experienced Bad Mom readers! Woo hoo!
