Sydney picked out a beautiful (!) princess barbie doll and pony with some of her Easter money this week. She really loves ponies and we have spent many minutes combing their manes over the last 6 months or so.

Sometimes she names her ponies. Thus, while I was brushing the mane of her newest pony I asked what it’s name was.

“I don’t know,” she said.

“Well, is it a girl or a boy?” I asked, thinking that knowing would help us pick an appropriate name.

Sydney leaned over to look UNDER the belly of the blue princess horse whose mane I was brushing.

“It’s a girl,” she stated.
