Scene: Inside a suburban home.
Actors: a mom, 9-year-old son, and 6-year-old daughter
-Scene opens-
6-year-old: Mom, your butt is jiggly.
9-year-old: No, it’s not.
Mother responds with a look of relief. Secretly, she decides the 9-year-old is her favorite.
9-year-old: It’s not jiggly. It’s flat.
Mother is perturbed. She does not have a favorite anymore.
6-year-old: It’s flat AND jiggly.
Mother goes to kitchen for bottle of wine. Children giggle.
-End Scene-
And how’s it going around your house these days?

Ha! I love this!
One time my Eliana (who was 4 at the time) walked up behind me, gave me a spank on the bum and said, “I’m spankin’ your big ol booty.” I wasn’t sure whether to laugh or cry.
Katy @ Experienced Bad Mom says
That was my reaction too–not sure whether to laugh or cry!

Ha ha! I’m laughing with you, not with your children. :-/
Maybe I should do blog post titled “Ode to my Belly” – my 4-year old son would be quoted in saying, “Mom, you have a big belly!”
My 5-year old would be quoted in saying, “Mom, you look beautiful!”
5-year old becomes favorite.
5-year old then proceeds to boss me and tell me I’m doing [insert anything] wrong.
Neither child is a favorite… well, maybe Baby Girl is only because she can’t say what is on her mind yet.

LOL this is too funny because kids really says the darnest things sometimes don’t they? My best friend’s son who is 5 years old spanked me once and said “Aunty, I like your butt” hahahaha

My daughter has been saying this since she was 3. While I do have a big butt. it is quite embarrassing when she belts it out in a restaurant as I get up…! She points and laughs…! lmao

A while back I was in a fitness mode and decided to do my very first Jillian Michael’s (that only lasted one day-she drove me crazy). Halfway through my 5-year-old came over, started patting my belly and said, “Mom, this is what we’re getting rid of.” That was the end of exercising for me that day…
