Sick Time

I’m gonna say it. Every mom who works outside the home thinks it. But it is rare that any of us say it out loud. To say it out loud labels you as a bad mom. But, hey, I already know I’m a bad mom!

So here goes:

Would my two kids please get sick when it’s my day off? I work three days a week outside the home so it would be much more convenient if you two could just get sick on the other four days.

There. I said it. Now if they would only listen…
