Ever wonder why it’s so easy for your children to make you feel like an idiot?
I know I do.
Since Christmas we have seen numerous commercials advertising Beauty and the Beast in 3D. Limited engagement! Never before seen in 3D!
Now Beauty and the Beast is Sydney’s favorite princess movie and Belle is her favorite princess. We have the DVD, which I had to buy from eBay because when I wanted to buy the DVD it was in Disney’s vault (thanks a lot, Disney! Dumbest thing ever, Disney! Try telling a 3-year-old to wait for the vault to open Disney!).
Anyway, here’s a photo from two years ago when she met Belle at Disneyworld:
And another from last year when she wore her Belle dress for a princess makeover:
I thought it would be perfect to take her to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D. A girly good time! Limited engagement! First time in 3D! Let’s go!
So the next time the commercial came on (and yes, my kids watch TV–go ahead and pass judgment now) I told her we should go see it.
“I already saw it,” she answered calmly.
Oh.
Er.
Yes, you did.
Geez, what was I thinking!? Thanks for saving me $26 on some 3D tickets to a movie we’ve already seen and own!

This was exactly the spirit I was hoping for! π If you get this reply emailed to you, would you please let me know? I just figured out how to enable "reply" on blogger and am curious how it works exactly.
