The Best Beachy Waves Tutorial

May 4, 2015 By Katy 12 Comments

Do you ever go to the salon and get your hair done? Looks great when the stylist does it, right?

Then it’s the next day.

Suddenly, what the stylist made look *so easy* is impossible to replicate.

But, you try.

I present below my stylist’s rendition of beachy waves, immediately followed by my rendition of beachy waves:

Beachy waves done by the stylist vs. beachy waves I can do myself! As found on experiencedbadmom.com.

How’s that for a beachy waves tutorial?

Now I’d love to hear from you. Tell me what you love or hate about your hair.

Thanks for stopping by for a laugh! Don’t forget to follow me on Pinterest where I pin comedy gold daily.

I would love to take my stylist home with me. I just can’t master the blowout. Sigh!

I had made skills with a round brush, but am now in uncharted territory with this whole perfectly imperfect wavy look!

Oh so very true! It NEVER looks the same when I try to replicate it. Never. LTYM performance is this Saturday. Made appointment for this Friday with my stylist. She had to move it forward to this Tuesday. Oh boy. The chances of me redoing what she created are zip.

Here’s my tip. Just don’t move or sleep from Tuesday until the big day. Then your hair will still look amazing, and that’s really what it’s all about, right?!? 😉

Ok, so no future in the styling industry for you. Has your daughter figured this out yet? Mine are always asking me to do their hair and they still keep coming even though my aptitude for it is very low. Perhaps when they look back at the pictures of themselves as a child…. Then they will realize.

My daughter, 8, HATES having her hair brushed! She’s not into it at all. I will remind her of this stage in her life when she’s a teen and getting up early to do her hair every morning. 🙂

Haha! That’s hilarious! I wish my hair could ever look like your beachy waves. My hair has no volume. But yeah, it always looks better when the stylist does it 🙂

I love the picture of the llama! My hair is so fine only a few styles look good. I wish I could have a try at growing my hair out but it just looks stringy and gross. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

    Haha, amazing.

Strangely enough, I find I typically don’t like how my hair looks when I leave, and I have to “fix” it when I get home. She cuts it great, but I always feel like my bangs and part look weird.

That is perfect and hilarious.. I can never recreate what the stylist does. I’m terrible with hair. She always asks we what I use on my hair and at home, and I”m like, “Uh, shampoo?”
