If you’ve been around the blog for a while, then you know I like cats.
Don’t get me wrong, I like dogs, too. In fact, my family always had at least two dogs in the house when I was growing up.
But I don’t own a dog now and I probably won’t own a dog in the foreseeable future.
That’s because I did not marry a dog lover. I married a wonderful man who didn’t want any pets at all.
Nada.
None.
Thankfully, it only took a couple years of marriage to convince him that owning a cat would not be burdensome, but would enhance our lives. {Ahem!}
We’ve had cool cats and cats who are duds. But no matter what we still love our cats.
Cats provide endless entertainment and companionship. Whether they are chasing their tail, purring while sitting on your lap, or throwing up in the corner, cats are cool!
In honor of our fabulous feline companions, I present a meowy special collection of cat memes.
The Cat Meme about Beds
From the pillow labeled “Loud Purrs Recording Studio” to the “Buttlicking station” in the middle of the bed to the “Expensive Cat Bed (never used)” on the floor, this cat’s map of the bed is soooo true.
The Cat Meme about Belly Rubs
So it’s not just me. I guess all cat owners have experienced that one minute their cats are loving a belly rub and the next instant they rip your hand off.
The Cat Meme about the Home Office
Okay, okay, so this isn’t a meme so much as it’s a picture. But it’s pretty iconic, no?
This cat is living its best life!
The Cat Meme about 52 weeks
If you’ve ever watched a kitten grow from a cute, cuddly fluffernutter into a huge brick-like creature that weighs a ton and crushes you, then you can relate.
The Cat Meme about their Busy Winter Schedule
This one makes me jealous. Can I have a busy winter schedule, too?
I hope these cat memes brought you as much joy as the cats in your life do (unless you have a prickly cat that ignores you and lives under your bed).

Apologies for staying away for so long, Katy. “… or throwing up in the corner” made me grin and I kept right on grinning. Nice job. I’ve never had a cat – only dogs. Oh, and a bunny, too. Can’t forget the bunny. And yes, that cat is living his best life – I’d like a hammock like that, thank you!

Welcome back, Kelly! So happy to have you visit. I will forever remember that while you are not a cat owner, you had an essay about cats in the Chicken Soup for the Soul series!
You and cats are meant to be.
