In my neck of the woods, there are often signs by the side of the road advertising Queen pillow top mattresses for sale. Why?
Who buys a mattress from a roadside sign?
Who sells a mattress using a roadside sign?
Why are the mattresses always pillow top, too?
Is this a cover for a meth lab?
Keira vs. Lilly
I watched the cute comedy “Yesterday“. I spent the entire movie thinking the lead actress was Keira Knightly only to learn it was Lilly James. I think they are the same person.
Am I the only one who thinks this?
I’m Cool Like That
I bought a vegan leather tote the other day. I love how hip and eco-conscious that makes me sound. Just a few years ago, the vegan leather tote would have been known as a cheap, fake leather tote.
The Masked Singer
Why do I like The Masked Singer show on Fox? It’s pretty ridiculous and cheesy.
BUT–the costumes are pretty good.
AND the backup dancers are always crazy.
THEN there’s the fact that I either know exactly who it is under the mask or I have no idea who it is (including when they are unmasked!)
AND I like to watch it together with my teenage daughter.
Cowl Neck Sweaters
Have I mentioned I like cowl neck sweaters?
I have a pointy chin, so I think a cowl neck softens it.
Plus, I’m always cold here in Michigan so a cowl neck keeps me warm.
Then, there’s the fact that a cowl neck catches all my crumbs when I’m eating. This is good because it means that I didn’t spill on my boob (again) and sometimes this provides a snack for later in a pinch.
There you have it, 5 fun random things that make me go hmm. What random things make you go hmm?
Are these signs handwritten? If so, that’s very curious indeed. Does someone have a surplus? Days-long celebration cancelled at the last minute and host is trying to get rid of their specially acquired 34 pillow top mattresses? Hmmmmm. Probably not. I’m leaning with you on the meth lab front.
As for Lily versus Kiera – gotta admit they don’t evoke a hmmmm. I’ve been a Kiera fan since “Bend it Like Beckham” and a Lily fan since Downton. Sorry – they’re as different as chalk and cheese … I will admit that Kiera’s maturity and wealth of acting roles make me shocked to learn she’s only 34 though.
Thanks for the inspiration to watch the Masked Singer. I’ll give it a go whilst wearing my cowl …

You are so gentle in your conviction that Keira and Lilly are not the same. I’ll have to pay more attention to them than I do to the snacks in my cowl neck.
Maybe if they both went on The Masked Singer at the same time I could see the difference!

I love the Masked Singer!! I haven’t watched any of the new episodes this season yet and so I keep trying to avoid spoilers.
Plus, yes the mattress stores are ALL a cover for meth labs.
