Time to Laugh

June 21, 2016 By Katy 18 Comments

Who needs to laugh?

I know I do.

After the recent tragedies in Orlando, I need a moment to giggle.

Taking a second to laugh or smile doesn’t make light of the tragedies, but it momentarily lifts my soul and reminds me to enjoy life this day, this moment.

If you need a laugh, I hope you join me. These humorous memes and pictures have been well-received on Pinterest lately. I take no credit except they made me smile.

Okay, so I do take credit for the Beachy Waves one. That’s actually my hair and I did actually create that image last year!

Time to laugh: Flat Squirrels

Time to laugh: Be decisive!

Time to laugh: Stripping

Time to laugh: At work like maybe stripping isn't so bad

Time to laugh: Kale

Time to laugh: Is it kale?

Time to laugh: Swimsuit season

Time to laugh: summer is coming!

Time to laugh: Beachy waves

Time to laugh: Beachy waves done by the stylist vs. beachy waves I can do myself! As found on experiencedbadmom.com.

Which one of these was your favorite? Or what’s made you laugh lately? I think all of us would love to hear!

For more joy, may I suggest checking out the Happy Now Linkup on Jenerally Informed, the humorous writings of Kelly L. McKenzie, the simple pleasures of life found on The Liebers, what’s going on in Jenny’s life at Unremarkable Files, and the military and mommy musings of Amber at Airing My Laundry.

Thanks for the link to me, Katy. I do appreciate it. What have I laughed at recently? Well, my mom is always a great source. As is my nephew. Both of them have a wonderful ability to laugh at themselves and the often ridiculous situations they find themselves in.

    Latest from Mom:

“Kel, what should I call the party I’m organizing for my building.”
“How about Fontaine Bleu (name of her building) Frolics?”

Perfect. She orders a cake, iced with “Fontaine Bleu Frolics.” End result? “Fontainblead Frolics.”
Yup. I come by it honestly.

Bwa ha ha! I suggest you google “Walmart Underneat That” cake for a smile. It makes Fountainblead Frolics look tame!

Thanks, Chris! I saw a similar looking one that went crazy viral, but I’ll just take comfort in the fact that for my non-viral meme I used the bushy llama pic a whole year earlier. 🙂

Oh that baby picture! If that were my baby I couldn’t stop taking pictures, EVER! So cute! Why can we never do our hair like the stylist? We buy the products, study the whole process and then choke when it comes time to do it!

I remember my son was a skinny baby – how dare he?! I needed one of the chubby ones to squeeze and take pictures of!

I’m SO relating to the beaching waves, except I could do “The Monica.” Do you remember that one from way back in the “Friends” day?? Looked just like Monica in the salon, came home and did it myself and created “The Mushroom”! Thanks for the smile today!

Love these. Honestly, they all made me laugh. The baby beach body…but mostly the camel. My hair is crazy right now and the hairdresser can barely style it. So, I totally identified with the camel.

I took a nap on the couch yesterday. I woke up to my youngest whispering, “Mommy’s asleep! We can do whatever we want! Let’s go eat candy!”
    I mumbled, “No she’s not.” and then…
    he said, “Let’s wait!”

Hey, that llama doesn’t look so bad! At least it’s not up in a ponytail (all I seem to have time to do these days.)
