A couple weeks ago I took my son to the doctor for his 10-year check up. During the course of his appointment, he demonstrated this talent to the doctor:
Yes, I’m so proud. He can touch his nose with his tongue!
The doctor laughed and laughed. Then she expressed how this nose-touching skill would have been the perfect “Tiny Talent” for the summer camp she attended as a youth. This camp had a “Tiny Talent” show that showcased, well, tiny talents. This got me thinking about my daughter’s Tiny Talent. She can move each eye individually. It’s a Tiny Talent inherited from her dear old dad:
And what’s my Tiny Talent, you ask? I honestly don’t know! I can stick my foot in my mouth, figuratively speaking. I used to be able to bend my thumb backwards to touch my wrist. And I’m a whiz in the grocery store helping little old ladies reach things on high shelves (that’s because I’m 5’11”).
I’d love to hear what Tiny Talents you have out there. Please share in the comments!

My talent is that I can roll my eyes. Does that count? Once at one of my son’s well checkups our pediatrician told him that he could jump from the floor to the top of the exam table, and then proceeded to demonstrate it. It was UNBELIEVABLE! I have never met anyone who can do something like that…my son was impressed and so was I!

Wow! Impressive pediatrician! Thinking about that just makes my knees hurt. And, yes, please count eye rolling as a tiny talent. š

I have a double-jointed third finger that “clicks” LOL, and I can curl my tongue, and I can type 100 wpm and make little origami birds in less than 60 seconds. That’s about it š I love how your family embraces their unusual tiny talents.

Ha ha, that’s great. I’m talented at all those things, too, except for reaching for the tall stuff. Not so easy to do when you’re 5′ 2″. But I used to be able to bend my thumb all the way back, but not anymore. Kind of happy about that.
Glad we found each other through Honest Voices.

Ha, awesome!
I can make sucking noises with my feet. I have flat feet so I guess that’s why?

I can make people feel smarter by saying ignorant things. Not that I’m trying to be ignorant, I just don’t remember a lot of those what-you-call-em, oh, facts.
I get lost all the time, even using a map, I now rely on my six-year-old to guide me.

I can’t quite tell whether people who can touch their tongues to their noses are under- or over-evolved from the rest of us. Very reptilian.
