Tweet #ShopCartons to Donate Trees this Month!

July 22, 2014 By Katy 2 Comments

This post is brought to you courtesy of Choose Cartons.

Loyal readers know that my very favorite social media outlet is Twitter. Me and Larry Bird do some serious tweeting. Wait, actually my tweets are anything but serious! (If you’re new around here, read up on my love affair with Twitter). That’s why I’m exited to tell you that during the month of July, you can help donate a tree just by tweeting. How cool is that?

You see, the folks at Choose Cartons  are partnering with Trees for the Future to donate a tree each time the hashtag #shopcartons is mentioned. By partnering with Trees for the Future, Choose Cartons (which is an Evergreen Packaging initiative) aims to help replant as many of the valuable resources they use for their packaging as possible.

They will donate up to 10,000 trees during the month of July. All you have to do is tweet using #shopcartons. Heck, you can even tweet this post and it’ll count! Pretty cool and pretty easy, huh?

Learn more about #shopcartons at Choose Cartons

Choose Cartons is a blog for parents (particularly moms!) that teaches the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling through DIY projects, up-cycled crafts, and fresh ideas. They also educate about using renewable resources and the positive effects of choosing cartons at the grocery store.

I must confess. Until I was contacted about the #shopcartons campaign, I had no idea the positive impact I could make just by choosing cartons. Even I, the Experienced Bad Mom, can easily choose cartons at the store! And here are 3 Reasons You Should Choose Cartons at the Store:

  1. They are recyclable & renewable
  2. Cartons keep their contents super fresh
  3. Cartons take up less space in your fridge – leaving moms and dads more room to store cold adult beverages. Wait, did I write that? I’m Kidding…sort of. But, using cartons does leave more room for more groceries.

So tweet for trees! And #shopcartons.
