Udderly Smooth Review and Giveaway

November 4, 2013 By Katy 52 Comments

Disclaimer: I was given the products in this post for the purpose of the review. My opinions are my own.

My family visited a dairy farm this summer. As we watched the cows hooked up to the milking machines, one cow lifted its tail and relieved itself. In a solid way. And it splattered on the concrete floor of the milking area right onto my family’s pant legs.

So it was with a bit of trepidation that I was introduced to Udderly Smooth products at BloggyCon 2013 in September. After all, these products were originally made for *cow* udders. They were spotted like *cows*. And a *cow* had recently pooped on me.

However, my faith in cows has been restored! The Udderly Smooth hand cream I sampled was light, yet moisturizing, with a clean scent. The folks at Udderly Smooth soon sent me their foot and body creams to try, too. They will also award one lucky Experienced Bad Mom reader with 12 oz. Udderly Smooth Body Cream, 8 oz. Udderly Smooth Shea Butter Foot Cream, and both 4 oz. and 2 oz. Udderly Smooth Hand Creams, a prize worth $25!

Udderly Smooth udder cream was originally invented for use on dairy cows in the harsh, Midwest winters. Yet it wasn’t long before people discovered that Udderly Smooth made their skin incredibly soft and smooth. It’s been American-made by Redex Industries in Salem, Ohio for over thirty years and is now used worldwide. It’s touted as a great product for:

* Dry and chapped skin
* Use as a shaving lotion
* Diabetes skin care
* Hand and Foot Syndrome (side effect of chemotherapy drugs)
* Chamois cream for bicyclists
* Needlework and quilting

handcream Here are some more of my thoughts on Udderly Smooth products. I have enjoyed using the hand cream since September. It’s light, but substantial. My hands feel moisturized, but not greasy. It has a faint, clean scent.

Footcream

The shea butter foot cream is definitely the creamiest of the products I tried. It’s smooth going on, and makes my feet feel soft. I doubt I have to worry about cracked heels this winter!

BodycreamFinally, the body cream has a nostalgic feel to it. Remember using Noxzema to wash your face as a teen? That’s the consistency of the Udderly Smooth Body Cream. At first, this made me distrustful of it as a body cream. But after weeks of using it, I don’t think about the consistency at all and love scooping up a copious amount of body cream to use after the shower. Seriously, the body cream and foot cream come in generous 8 oz. tubs. They’ll last a good long time!

Enter to win your own Udderly Smooth products via Rafflecopter below. These will be great for personal use as winter approaches or would make a lovely gift for the holidays. And don’t forget to check out Udderly Smooth on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. In case you don’t win, you can find Udderly Smooth at various online retailers or check the store locator on their website.
