My name is Katy and I was christened the “Experienced Bad Mom” by my friend Angie after everything I did wrong with my first child, Will, I started doing wrong with my second child, Sydney. You can read the sordid tale of my beginning here or my long bio here.
I’m Katy, the Experienced Bad Mom
I work part-time outside the home, part-time from home, and some days I stay home with my kids. (Don’t worry, not even my husband can remember my schedule!) I’m not the perfect mom and this blog is living proof. A couple times a week, sometimes more, I share the good, the bad, and the funny moments of my mothering adventure, all while laughing at myself.
The Good
Some days I share the funny or sweet things my kids say.
The Bad
Some days I showcase my less-than-stellar parenting performances. For instance, there’s the time I was outwitted by a black ice skating outfit made by American Girl. Or the time I let my daughter get attacked by a My Little Pony car.
The Funny
Some days I rant, like this one about pregnancy vs. parenthood. Or, there’s the outrageous things that happen only to me and my family, like the time we watched a Wild America episode play itself out on our trip to DisneyWorld.

oh no, I can only imagine how annoying AND painful that must have been. I had a hemorrhoid right after I had my 2 year old and it was horrible. I told my doctor and husband that it felt like my butt was turning inside out and all of me was going to come out that end. A little dramatic but that’s allowed when you’re pregnant. haha love your posts, you are truly hilarious. 🙂 Glad to be a follower.
