This week at the grocery store I ran into a mom from Will’s school. She had her 5-year-old with her and commented how lucky it was that I was without the kids.
I admitted she was right, then confessed I was still brain dead! I found myself staring at the same things over and over.
I even – gasp – picked up regular salt instead of iodized salt.
That’s right folks. My kids will now become iodine deficient because I bought the wrong salt.
I blame Morton’s for making the un-iodized salt look nearly identical to the iodized salt. Of course, today’s perfect mom would have written “Iodized salt” on her shopping list rather than my pathetic “salt”.
Oh well! Maybe I can use up the bad salt in a humungous batch of homemade playdough (yea, right.)
