Thankful for Laughs

November 18, 2015 By Katy 9 Comments

As a humor blogger, it is my goal to entertain you: whether that’s through stories of my parenting fails, the funny things my kids say, or the crazy things I think up, I’m always hoping to make you laugh.

That’s why, as we in America sit down to celebrate Thanksgiving soon, I’m so thankful for laughs! Without laughs there would be no joy. And without joy, I would just be a sad, sorry soul.

(And blogless. Don’t forget blogless.)

So to celebrate laughs and laughter, I’m sharing the funny things that have made me laugh lately. With the way things have been going in the world, I think we could all use more laughs.

First up, some jailhouse humor:Thankful for Laughs like this one on ExperiencedBadMom.com!Next, here’s a reason to look forward to winter:Thankful for Laughs: A reason to look forward to winter! Now it’s time for a funny cat:Thankful for Laughs: Oh Hey...you're home early! You know I can’t resist shameless self-promotion. Here’s a little ditty I thought up that had you chuckling on my Facebook page. I made a nifty graphic so it can go viral on Pinterest and bring me worldwide acclaim as a humorist:Sure I have regrets. I regret never being in the audience for one of Oprah's "Favorite Things" episodes. Finally, to wrap up, a cartoon that is simple and to the point — the hilarious point:Thankful for Laughs: My boss told me to have a good day...so I went home.

Are you thankful for laughs? What else are you thankful for this month? This year?

Need more laughs? Come follow me on Pinterest where I first discovered most of these funnies.

Ok so how are we going to get ourselves onto Ellen’s 12Days of Christmas? Probably too late for 2015 and maybe even 2016 but surely we could do 2017!
And please know – you do always make me laugh and I love that. The “My boss told me to have a good day … so I went home” is pure gold.

I definitely love to laugh, so your post was perfect! That picture of the cat made me laugh the most, and I have the same regret! I live in Chicago and never made it to one of Oprah’s shows. And now it’s too late!
