Thoughts I Have Driving Home from Work

October 6, 2019 By Katy 4 Comments

So if my daughter has a game at 6 pm and my son has a game at 9 pm and each of them have to be there an hour early and it’s too far to go home in between games, what time do we need to leave and how many cars are we taking?

GET. OUT. OF. MY. WAY.

What are we doing for dinner?

It’s called the gas pedal, buddy.

Do you think the kids fed the cats?

Seriously, retired people should not take Sunday drives on a Tuesday during rush hour.

Do you think the kids remembered to scoop the litter box?

I hate this light. So stupid.

The kids better have their hockey bags ready to go. And I’m not turning around if they forget something.

Did I remember to bring my lunch bag home?

Was I this oblivious when I was in college? Just walking out in front of cars, trusting that they’ll stop?

I’m hungry. Do I have anything in my purse to eat?

I’d like to apologize to all the working parents driving home in rush hour on behalf of the oblivious college student that I must have been once.

Do I need money for anything?

MOVE. IT.

Do I have money for anything?

For the love of all that is holy.

“Moving through the sky, Little Einsteins.” Okay, why is THAT stuck in my head?

What do we have going on tomorrow night?

For the love of all that is holy indeed.
It’s suddenly 2011 and someone who should know better has left his bathing suit at home and there is no time for me to drive back and get it because I have to drive his sister across the city and we are already late and I’m starving and my purse is empty of cash and anything remotely edible … What red light?

Hahaha! For the love of all that is holy! I remember those days! 3 kids, ballgames all on same night, different times, different fields! Blessings Bad Mom.

We’ve all been there, right? I’m impressed by our strength, truly!!
