The Best Memes About Work aka The Daily Grind

February 2, 2025 By Katy 4 Comments

I’ve got a secret to share. My most discerning followers may have already picked up on what it is.

It’s a secret about work, aka the daily grind, that 9-to-5 life.

My day job is, well, work. And I just gotta laugh about it.

So my secret is that most Mondays I share a relatable work meme on my blog’s Facebook page to start the week off with a chuckle.

I can tell by the likes and laughs that my fellow workers can relate. After all, most of us are not supermodels and actresses (or the other random 0.05% of people) who swear up and down that their work is awesome and they love it.

And, research shows that laughing on the job or about the job decreases stress and improves productivity so there’s that.

Which brings me to this month’s blog post. I’m pleased to share the most relatable memes about work aka the daily grind. Whether you’re the boss or a peon, whether you’re nearing retirement or facing decades in the workforce, it’s my hope that you’ll find camaraderie, joy and mirth in the funny work memes below.

Running Late

Ha! This one validated that I’m not the only one who has ever broken down at the thought of work.

Leaving Early

I’m pretty sure I’m always ready to head out waaaaay before the end of the day.

Sick Days

Love this idea about calling in healthy. I’m gonna write it down for the suggestion box at work, you know the box full of suggestions that no one ever pays attention to or implements.

How It’s Going

Take Your Friend To Work

It would be brilliant if my buddies IRL could meet my work posse. I should at least bring my husband by since he hears the bulk of my work stories.

There you have it, five of the best memes about work that have brought a smile to my face and assured me I’m not alone in dreaming of a vacation or big lottery win.

Disclosure: I do not create these work memes, but I approve of their messages.

“I think I’m ready to head out for the day. ” … “You just got here.”

I love it. These are great. It’s a good thing memes weren’t a thing when I was working at the Vancouver Convention and Visitors’ Bureau for two summers. Picture it – four girls, all UBC students, hungover and doing our damndest to last to the end of the shift ….

Kelly if only there were memes back then! I think you’d be perfectly suited to create the most hilarious and relatable ones.
